Custom Bag Manufacturing FAQs
Find clear answers to common B2B questions about custom leather goods and backpack manufacturing, including MOQ, sampling, DFM review, materials, production, quality control, delivery and after-sales support.
ISUNDEI supports brand founders, designers, boutique brands, online store owners and private label buyers who want to develop custom leather goods or backpacks for their own brand. We are a B2B inquiry-based manufacturer, so the process usually starts with your design idea, reference sample, sketch, material direction or product brief.
We support custom leather bags, custom backpacks, handbags, wallets, belts and small leather goods. Backpack projects may include leather, PU / vegan leather, fabric with leather details, or mixed-material structures depending on the design and target price range.
For genuine leather projects, the MOQ usually starts from 50 pcs per color. For PU or vegan leather projects, the MOQ is usually 100 pcs total, and in many cases this can be arranged as 2 colors x 50 pcs. The final MOQ depends on material availability, hardware, color, structure and supplier requirements.
You can send sketches, reference photos, a sample bag, target dimensions, material preferences, logo requirements, expected order quantity and target market. You can also review our custom bags process to understand what information is useful before sampling. If you do not have a full tech pack yet, ISUNDEI can still review the idea and help identify what information is needed before sampling.
A DFM review helps check whether the design is practical for production before a sample is made. We look at structure, material choice, stitching, edge finishing, hardware, load points, cost risks and possible production difficulties. This helps reduce misunderstandings and avoid unnecessary sample revisions.
Yes. Sampling is an important step for custom bag development. A sample helps confirm shape, size, leather or material feel, hardware, logo placement, construction details and overall function before bulk production starts.
Material options may include genuine leather, PU / vegan leather, fabric, lining materials, zippers, buckles, metal hardware and custom logo parts. The best material choice depends on your design, positioning, budget, MOQ and expected use of the product.
Yes. ISUNDEI can support OEM, ODM and private label projects. You can learn more about the production workflow on our ODM & OEM process page. Some buyers come with a complete design, while others start from a reference sample or product idea. We can help with sampling, engineering review, material sourcing, production, QC and delivery support.
Quality control starts before production with material and construction review. During production, the team checks key details such as material matching, cutting, stitching, edge finishing, hardware, logo placement and final appearance. Video inspection can also be used to help buyers review goods before shipment. For examples of how development and production support can work in practice, see our case studies.
The timeline depends on product complexity, material availability, custom hardware and the number of sample revisions. Simple projects are usually faster, while complex structures or custom hardware need more time. After reviewing your design and requirements, ISUNDEI can provide a more realistic sampling and production schedule.
Yes. ISUNDEI supports international shipping and can discuss DDP options when suitable for the order. The right shipping method depends on destination, quantity, carton size, delivery timeline and customs requirements.
After production and delivery, ISUNDEI can help review product feedback, quality questions and improvement points for future orders. If you are preparing a new project, you can contact ISUNDEI with your product details. For custom manufacturing, clear communication after delivery is useful because it helps improve the next production run and reduce repeated issues.
